KoreanCommunity Center of Greater Princeton (KCCP) successfully held the 7th KCCP Fundraising Golf Tournament at Heron Glen Golf Course in Ringoes, New Jersey, on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Tournament style was unique. Participants were able to decide individual-based style while two people were able to form one team for scramble style.
About 50 participants and volunteers joined the event. The KCCP trophy was awarded to Mr. Mark Purpura, who not only played the lowest score but also won Men’s longest and closest. But, as he picked up one low valued award product, more than 10 players had chance to have other award products. Thanks Mark.
Scramble winner was Ms. Sooha Park and Ms. Katie Lee team. As Sooha and Katie are mother and daughter, many families played as one team such as father and son team, wife and husband team, and friends team.
Playing rules were strict and no mulligan shot was allowed as KCCP Way is honesty and transparency.
This year marks the seventh year for our event, which has grown each year
and drew a lot of players and friends to the golf event. Many local companies sponsored the event. Joh Foundation was the title sponsor. Fox and Rothchild LLP, Duane Morris LLP, and Bank of Princeton were tournament sponsors. Nongshim, New York Golf, Merrill Lynch, and Princeton Health were gift sponsors. Thank you for your supports.
Many proved KCCP as truly grassroots-based community activity by inviting others and volunteering for the event. All raised fund will be used to make KCCP vision to help community with Korean heritage come true.
