The 5th annual KCCP Chuseok gala held at the Rider University on September 17th was a big success. Guests who attended the gala all very much enjoyed the Program – thanks to the detailed and thorough planning and execution by the Gala Committee volunteers under the leadership of Mr. Choong Hyun Baik, this years’ gala chair.
Many guests complimented how well it was done and were amazed that this first class event was put together by a small number of volunteers. MVP for the event was Mrs. Janelle Baik for the beautiful Program book, smooth registration and seating arrangements for 330 guests. Mrs. Lesley Lee, the first non-Korean volunteer in KCCP history, chaired the silent auction which was very successful. Dr. Kwanchul Lee produced a wonderful KCCP video that sums up KCCP’s mission and accomplishments very well. Mrs. Sunny Joh successfully coordinated the delicious feast catered by Koreana restaurant all the way from Flushing, NY.
The other gala committee members also significantly contributed to the success of the gala and they are (in alphabetical order): Andrew Chon, Yonghae Han, Jaewook Jeong, Yongkeun Joh, Nanwon Kang, Wan-Mo Kang, John Kim, Chung Hee Lee, Helen Lee, Jung Hi Lee, Young Lee, Alice Yi, and Nahyun Yoo.
KCCP raised approximately $ 90,000, net of expenses. Gold sponsors for this year’s gala were Joh Foundation, Mr.& Mrs. Stephen Distler, and an anonymous donor. Silver sponsors were Fox Rothschild LLP, Robert N. Ridolfi, Esq., and The Bank of Princeton. Benefactors were Nara Bank, LG Electronics, and the Rider University.
